Keeping in mind that hair grows from the inside, the best approach to stimulating hair growth is to take a good quality supplement that's rich in B Vitamins, but be careful with dosage if you have acne prone skin. Biotin may trigger breakouts. So keep an eye on changes in your skin. Hands down, a Vitamin B complex, containing Biotin will be the fastest way to hair growth. If you have dry skin, you are in luck! Both your skin and hair will love the supplementation. B3, especially in the form of Niacinamide, will hydrate your skin from the inside out, and increase shine and smoothness in your hair.
Minerals are essential to a healthy hair, skin, and body. Most of us are low on essential and trace minerals due to depleted soils, rendering our foods less nutritious. So, check for these minerals in your daily supplement - they are the most crucial to hair health: Zinc, Selenium, and Silica. Also, include some of these mineral-rich foods in your diet: beans, eggs, leafy green vegetables, and brazil nuts.
I love my Evolvh Healthy Hair products. They give me peace of mind leaving out many questionable ingredients that I don't want on my scalp (knowing that toxic chemicals can easily sip into my brain- no thank you!). I boost my shampoo's performance with a few cloves. I simply drop them in and let them seep into the formula. Cloves are Moroccan women's best kept secret to kick hair growth in high gear.
For those who enjoy a DIY remedy, here is my own creation that has done wonders for everyone who's tried it so far:
Mix equal parts coconut oil, castor oil, and coffee grounds. Let the mixture sit for at least 24 hours before use. You may remove coffee grounds by using a cheese cloth to squeeze out the oil mix. Apply and massage the mix into the scalp and leave on for 20 minutes, then shampoo.
Another wonderful recipe that stimulated hair growth is Rosemary water. Take one bunch of organic Rosemary, boil it in filtered water for about 10 minutes, let it cool, then pour into a spray bottle. That's it! Spray and massage into your scalp 3 to four times a day, massaging it into the scalp.
Lastly, good blood flow is essential to nutrient distribution, so massage and/or brush your hair often.
Be well. Be safe. Be beautiful!
