I've always believed in the power of skincare and a balanced diet for attaining healthy skin. However, now in my mid-forties, I realize that my skin needs more support. I am not one for monthly facials. I've always believed that what I do on a daily basis has a far greater impact on my skin than the occasional facial.

What are the best facial treatments for home use?
1- LED Light Therapy device
LED Light Therapy has by far rendered the most notable results in my skin. I started out as a skeptic, a couple of year ago. How much could light really do for me?, I thought.
I stumbled on RTL during my desperate search to treat a permanent skin condition, Perioral Dermatitis. Its characterized by inflamed red bumps around the mouth that flare up in response to allergens, harsh skincare products, fragrance, certain preservatives, and essential oils.
The solution that a Dermatologist could offer me was prolonged use of immunosuppressants and antibiotics (no way!!! I wasn't about to compromise my immune system in order to fix a cosmetic issue). So, after years of trial and error, an LED light tool was a last resort for me. It only took me a few days before I became a huge fan of my LED Light mask! Each time I had a flare-up, it only took three to four sessions to bring the inflammation down, and restore my skin back to a normal state.
While that was the main reason why I invested in this seemingly pricey gadget, it was convenient that It had several settings designed to treat other issues. So I started learning about the various lights and their respective functions. Research didn't offer much evidence on the effects of some colors like pink & green, but the evidence was very clear on the incredible impact of red light on boosting blood flow and cellular function, as well as the effect of blue light on controlling acne.
Light therapy effects were almost too good to be true! I thought: non-invasive, no side effect, no inflammation, no down time, no way! But, in fact, the results I saw eliminated all traces of doubt, and made me a loyal user of LED Light Therapy.
